Visit Antibes – The quai des Milliardaires (Billionaires quay)

Once through the gateway, you arrive directly into the port, rubbing shoulders with the multi-coloured fishing boats. Guy de Maupassant

came here frequently throwing anchor in his yacht the “Bel Ami”.

Continuing along the quays you come to the arches created by Vauban. A narrow passageway gives way to the pretty sandy beach of La Gravette.

Further on again you come to the bastion Saint-Jaume, where you can see Jaume Plensa’s monumental sculpture “Nomade”, and to the famous

“Quai des Milliardaires” that has harboured the largest yachts in the world since 1986. These floating palaces have contributed to the growing fame of

this marina, the biggest in Europe, in regarding ton weight.
